Sri S. Abdul Nazeer is a former judge of the Supreme Court of India, who is serving as the 24th Governor of Andhra Pradesh. He is also former judge of the Karnataka High Court. He was appointed as the Honble Governor of Andhra Pradesh on 12 February 2023.

Andhra Pradesh is a major Education Hub in the country with 3 Central Universities, 20 Autonomous Institutions, 25 State Universities, 4 Deemed Universities, and 5 Private Universities. Andhra Pradesh is marching ahead in all respects and is poised to achieve higher growth rate in key development sectors in the country, in the very near future. I hope that the welfare-based development and growth of Andhra Pradesh will continue in the same spirit, in the coming days, taking the State to a top position in the country under the dynamic leadership of our young Chief Minister Sri. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Before concluding, I would like recall the wise words of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishna, our First Vice President, who said: “I firmly believe that if any part of India is capable of developing an effective sense of unity it is in Andhra. The hold of conservatism is not strong. Our generosity of spirit and openness of mind are well-known. Our social instinct and suggestibility are still active. Our moral sense and sympathetic imagination are not much warped by dogma. Our women are relatively more free. Love of the mother-tongue binds us all.” JAI HIND "
